The Onyx Boox Note Air 4 C is a premium 10.3-inch color E Ink tablet running Android 13, featuring a Kaleido 3 display (300 ppi B&W, 150 ppi color) and an open ecosystem for app downloads. It boasts strong performance with 6GB RAM, excellent build quality with a fingerprint sensor, and a natural writing experience with the included stylus. The Onyx Boox Note Air 4 C is a versatile 10.3-inch color E Ink tablet featuring a Kaleido 3 display (300ppi monochrome, 150ppi color), 6GB of RAM, and Android 13, earning it an Editors' Choice award. The device excels in note-taking with a paper-like feel, offers extensive app compatibility via the Google Play Store, and includes a microSD card slot for expanded storage. However, the color display is muted and grainy, audio quality is mediocre, and the unit lacks IP-rated waterproofing.

The Onyx Boox Note Air4 C is a highly capable 10.3-inch E Ink tablet featuring a Kaleido 3 color screen, Android 13, and a premium design with a microSD slot, acting as a versatile digital notebook. Its standout pros include an excellent paper-like writing experience, a responsive stylus with no lag, and a new user interface with enhanced multitasking tools. The device provides full access to the Google Play Store, allowing for easy, customizable syncing with cloud services. However, the review notes that upgrades from the previous model are subtle, and the color screen still suffers from inherent, noticeable lag and ghosting, making it unsuitable for video. Cons also include weak built-in speakers and a matte back that attracts fingerprints. While the battery lasts for weeks with light use, it drains faster when using the front light at high brightness. Ultimately, it's a solid, flexible device, though it's a hard sell for current Note Air3 C owners due to the minimal hardware improvements. The standard stylus also lacks a dedicated eraser, which may affect note-taking efficiency. Pocket-lint

The Onyx Boox Note Air 4 C is a premium 10.3-inch color E-Ink tablet featuring an upgraded Kaleido 3 display (300 PPI black-and-white, 150 PPI color) and a faster processor with 6GB of RAM, making it a robust, versatile device that bridges the gap between e-readers and Android tablets. A major strength is its Android 13 OS with full Play Store access, paired with excellent note-taking capabilities via the low-latency Pen Plus stylus and minimal ghosting from Boox Super Refresh (BSR) technology. However, notable drawbacks include a high price point, muted colors compared to standard LCD screens, weak speakers, and a poorly positioned USB-C port, along with a steep learning curve.

The Onyx Boox Note Air4 C is a 10.3-inch E Ink tablet featuring a Kaleido 3 color display and Android 13, offering a versatile blend of e-reader functionality and app support. Key advantages include an excellent, lag-free stylus experience, customizable refresh modes, and long-lasting battery life. While offering improved color over monochrome, the display remains muted and unsuitable for video, and physical drawbacks include an inconveniently placed USB-C port.

The Onyx Boox Note Air 4C is praised by XDA-Developers as a versatile 10.3-inch device bridging the gap between an e-reader and an Android tablet, featuring a 420g design, fingerprint sensor, and a Kaleido 3 color e-ink display suitable for comics. Key pros include an open Android 13 ecosystem with full Google Play Store access, allowing third-party apps, alongside impressive battery life and a flat design. However, notable cons include an underpowered processor resulting in stuttery video playback, muted color tones compared to standard screens, and weak built-in speakers. Additionally, a design flaw requires the folio case to be open for USB-C charging. The device is ultimately recommended as a distraction-free, color-capable productivity tool for those prioritizing note-taking and reading over raw performance. XDA

The Onyx Boox Note Air 4C is a versatile 10.3-inch color e-ink tablet featuring an open Android 13 ecosystem, allowing for extensive app installation via the Google Play Store. Its premium design includes a metal-backed build and a microSD card slot for storage expansion, though the 150 PPI color screen provides more muted, "pastel-like" colors compared to traditional tablets. The device utilizes "Boox Super Refresh" (BSR) technology to enable effective reading and note-taking, though this feature, along with high brightness settings, leads to short battery life, often lasting only a day or two. While the Note Air 4C excels as a specialized tool, it suffers from poor performance with video apps and carries a steep learning curve, according to Lifehacker.

Branden Bodendorfer describes the Onyx Boox Note Air 4 C as a capable balance between reading and handwritten notes. Android 13 and 6GB of RAM support productivity apps through Google Play, with expandable storage reaching an additional 2TB. The review highlights adjustable refresh settings that let users prioritise clearer images or faster responses for different tasks. Split-screen mode places reading beside notes, and OneNote synchronisation suits students and professionals who regularly switch between devices. However, the side USB-C port complicates charging with a case, and PDF annotations lack the same cross-device synchronisation. Video playback remains less fluid than LCD or OLED, but the reviewer finds short clips acceptable on this screen.

Good e-Reader calls the Onyx Boox Note Air 4 C the fastest Onyx device its reviewers have ever reviewed. Apps open immediately, Google Play navigation feels instant, and the interface responds quickly even at the standard speed setting. The 10.3-inch Carta 1200 display combines Kaleido 3 color with 300 ppi monochrome resolution and 150 ppi color resolution. Boox Super Refresh keeps page changes fast and clear, while warm and cool lighting supports reading after dark. The Pen Plus provides a natural paperlike feel and 4,096 pressure levels for notes, annotations, and creative drawing. Android 13 and Google Play broaden app choice, while expandable storage and regular firmware updates strengthen the platform's appeal.

MakeUseOf finds the Onyx Boox Note Air 4 C effective for reading, drawing, and basic productivity with fewer distractions. The color E Ink screen adds value to comics and illustrated covers, while different ink colors support creative notes. The built-in Notes app offers five pen styles plus shapes and fill tools, and Neo Reader supports direct annotations. Adjustable frontlight brightness and color temperature help reading in darkness, and cloud integration connects libraries across several popular services. Android 13 and Google Play support productivity apps, while Bluetooth keyboards or USB-C accessories expand options for typed work. The reviewer criticizes difficult USB-C access with the magnetic cover attached and finds the speakers loud enough but unexceptional.
