The Onyx Boox Note Air 3 C is a 10.3-inch color E Ink tablet featuring a Kaleido 3 display (300ppi grayscale/150ppi color) that excels at displaying, comics, and academic documents with natural, muted colors. Its premium aluminum-magnesium build, highly responsive stylus, and full Google Play Store access make it a versatile tool for taking notes and utilizing various reading apps. Key advantages include impressive, long-lasting battery life and the "Balanced" refresh mode, which uses BOOX Super Refresh technology to minimize ghosting during navigation. The tablet functions as a solid, portable note-taking device with a fast, "print-like" user experience. The Kaleido 3 colour display is ideal for comics, yet offers paler colors than smartphones, with slow response times and ghosting, making it unsuitable for video or fast gaming. Notebook mode provides annotation, recording, AI tools, and export options that make reading and note-taking its standout activities. Android 12 supports Google Play apps, while ebook importing and Google Drive syncing add flexibility for everyday work. The native notes app adds templates, audio recording, shape correction, and text recognition alongside useful color-coded highlights. Google Play provides access to multiple reading platforms, while the battery lasts for weeks on a charge. The premium aluminum design attracts fingerprints, and the lack of an IP rating limits reassurance about water resistance.
