What we like about Revell Fizz

  • Very low price
  • Headless mode keeps steering intuitive
  • Remote included
  • Teaches real throttle control
  • Tiny and light for indoor play

What we don't like about Revell Fizz

  • No altitude hold
  • Tiny 180 mAh battery means short flights
  • No camera
  • Older 2019 design

Verdict

The Revell Fizz is a very small and inexpensive quadcopter for kids who want a simple flying toy. It runs on a tiny 180 mAh battery and comes with a remote, and headless mode keeps steering intuitive because the drone follows the stick direction no matter which way it faces. There is no altitude hold, though, so young pilots have to manage the throttle themselves, which takes a little practice but also teaches real flying skills. The brushed motors and minimal electronics keep the price very low. It has no camera, app or GPS, and it is best flown indoors, where its light weight is an advantage rather than a weakness. Released in 2019, it is an older design. For a low-risk first toy drone or a stocking filler, it does its job well.
