When should you consider buying a 20L dehumidifier?
A 20 L/day dehumidifier is worth considering when a smaller 10–16 L/day model would need to run continuously or when the room has regular laundry, condensation, or a high moisture load. It provides reserve extraction for medium and larger rooms, but the fixed rating does not guarantee 20 litres in ordinary home conditions.
The size is most useful when the room is roughly 30–60 m², the airflow can circulate through the space, and the moisture source is moderate to heavy. A divided basement, cold garage, or open-plan area may need more than one unit or a different technology even when the room-area claim appears large.
A 20 L/day cabinet is usually larger, heavier, and more power-hungry than a compact model. Choose it when the extra capacity reduces runtime or speeds drying, and choose a smaller unit when the room is small, quiet operation is the priority, or the moisture problem is occasional.
