Verdict

The Trust GXT 981 Redex is a high-performance, lightweight wired gaming mouse weighing approximately 72–74g and featuring a right-handed design with six programmable buttons. It is equipped with a PixArt PMW3325 optical sensor offering an adjustable sensitivity range of 200 to 10,000 DPI, a 1000Hz polling rate, 20G acceleration, and 100 IPS tracking speed. Its main pros include durable Kailh mechanical switches rated for 80 million clicks, customisable RGB lighting via dedicated software, and a flexible 1.8m braided cable that ensures smooth movement. However, notable cons include its relatively small dimensions (112 x 54 x 39 mm) which may be uncomfortable for those with large hands, the absence of side grips, and a sensor that is less competitive than some rival models at a similar price point.
