What we like about Logitech G403 Hero

  • Excellent HERO 25K sensor providing high precision and 1:1 tracking
  • Highly comfortable ergonomic shape, especially for palm and claw grips
  • Very low click latency making it highly responsive for competitive FPS gaming
  • Lightweight design (87g) with an optional 10g removable weight for customization
  • High-quality rubber side grips that improve control and handling
  • Large, well-positioned, and tactile side buttons that are easy to actuate
  • Excellent software support through Logitech G HUB for RGB and DPI customization

What we don't like about Logitech G403 Hero

  • The braided cable is often described as thick, stiff, and prone to snagging
  • Reports of long-term durability issues, specifically scroll wheel 'rattle' or failure
  • Potential for 'double-clicking' issues on the primary buttons over time
  • The prominent rear 'hump' can be divisive and may not suit all hand shapes
  • Not ideal for users with very small hands who may struggle to reach the scroll wheel
  • Limited number of programmable buttons (6 total) compared to dedicated MMO mice
  • Right-handed only design excludes left-handed users

Verdict

The Logitech G403 Hero is a wired ergonomic gaming mouse featuring the advanced HERO 25K sensor, offering a massive sensitivity range from 100 to 25,600 DPI and a 1,000Hz polling rate. Weighing 87g with an optional 10g removable weight, it is built for comfort with double-injected rubber side grips and 6 programmable buttons manageable via G HUB software. Its primary pros include exceptional tracking accuracy with 400+ IPS, a highly comfortable right-handed shape suitable for palm or claw grips, and crisp, responsive clicks thanks to a mechanical spring tensioning system. However, common cons include a relatively thick and stiff braided cable that can cause drag, a basic scroll wheel without tilt inputs, and occasional reports of long-term durability issues like double-clicking or scroll wheel inconsistencies.
