Verdict

The Cherry Gentix BT is a versatile wireless mouse featuring Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity with multi-device support for up to three end devices and secure AES-128 encryption. Its core specs include a high-precision optical sensor with a two-stage switchable resolution of 1,000 or 2,000 dpi, a 7-button layout with dedicated browser thumb buttons, and a blue-illuminated scroll wheel that serves as a status indicator for DPI and battery levels. Main pros include its highly portable, lightweight design (approx. 92g), symmetrical ergonomics suitable for both left and right-handed users, and an impressive battery life of up to one year using two AAA batteries. However, notable cons include the reliance on disposable batteries rather than being rechargeable, the lack of a dedicated USB wireless dongle or wired mode, and a compact size that some users may find less comfortable for extended use with larger hands.
