The Austrian tech company Runtastic, freshly acquired by Adidas for €220 million, has launched its new "Runtastic Moment" wearable collection at the IFA trade show in Berlin. Breaking away from typical touchscreen smartwatches, this device is uniquely built as a classical analog wristwatch that discreetly packs the complete tracking capabilities of a dedicated fitness band. Users can choose between four distinct collections—Elite, Classic, Basic, and Fun—offering varying case sizes, colors, and premium materials like stainless steel and leather to suit both sports and evening attire. The watch pairs via Bluetooth with the free Runtastic Me app to continuously monitor steps, distance, active minutes, burned calories, and sleep cycles, and it features an active community-driven goal system with "streaks" to keep users motivated. The review highlights several prominent advantages and minor drawbacks of the hybrid device. On the positive side (Pros), the watch boasts an exceptional 100-meter waterproof rating, meaning it never needs to be taken off during swimming, diving, or showering. It is powered by a standard watch battery, eliminating the daily hassle of recharging, and features an ingenious mechanism...

Overview The Runtastic Moment Elite is a stylish, analogue smartwatch made from high-quality materials that acts as a discreet fitness tracker, appealing to users who prefer a classic watch design over traditional plastic fitness bands. In terms of tracking performance, its step counter features a built-in filter requiring roughly 10 consecutive steps to begin counting. This filter causes the watch to underestimate daily casual steps around the home or office, but it excels at filtering out false steps during car rides. When continuously walking or running, the watch shows an.8%.2% respectively. Distance estimation is based on a user's height without options to input custom stride lengths, resulting in deviations of -3% for walking and -7% for running. Sleep tracking provides plausible graphs for deep, light, and awake cycles, though the watch is somewhat bulky to wear comfortably in bed. Pros and Cons Pros: The smartwatch features an excellent premium analogue aesthetic suitable for any social occasion, complete with a physical dial displaying progress toward daily activity goals. It is highly dependable during vehicle travel, correctly filtering out false steps where...

The provided product overview highlights Tradenext GmbH's evaluation of Runtastic's wearable lineup, emphasizing its heavy integration into the dedicated "Runtastic" and "Runtastic Me" smartphone applications. The review predominantly focuses on the Runtastic Moment series (comprising the Basic, Fun, Classic, and Elite models), which stands out for blending a traditional, analog watch aesthetic with hidden fitness capabilities. On the positive side (pros), these hybrid timepieces successfully track core metrics like steps, daily calorie consumption, and sleep cycles without sacrificing standard watch aesthetics. Additionally, they boast an exceptionally long battery life that lasts for several months on a single coin-cell battery, utilize seamless Bluetooth synchronization for localized smartphone time mapping, and offer wide cross-platform compatibility spanning iOS, Android, and Windows Phone ecosystems. Conversely, the review exposes notable limitations (cons) stemming from the line's minimalist design philosophy. Because Runtastic completely discards operating systems like Android Wear or Tizen in favor of standard analog hands, the devices entirely lack digital touch-displays. This design choice severely limits real-time data visibility on the wrist, restricting on-device tracking progress to simple daily target indicators (e.g., reaching a...

The Runtastic Moment Elite is a premium, analog smartwatch designed to blend the aesthetic of a classic timepiece with basic fitness tracking functionalities. It features a robust 46 mm stainless steel case, scratch-resistant mineral glass, and water resistance up to 100 meters. The watch uses a replaceable lithium coin-cell battery that delivers an impressive 6-month battery life, eliminating the need for frequent charging. Unlike other versions in the series, the Elite model uniquely allows users to track distance directly on the analog face during workouts. However, it is quite heavy at approximately 80 grams, and its stiff 24 mm textile-and-leather strap compromises comfort during sports or sleep tracking. A major drawback highlighted in the review is the software ecosystem and its hidden costs. While basic step tracking and daily goal progress (shown from 0 to 100% on a sub-dial) are free via the Runtastic Me app, unlocking features like distance or calorie goals requires a expensive premium subscription costing €6.99/month or €54.99/year. Furthermore, tracking activities is cumbersome because users cannot start a workout directly from the watch; instead, they must...

The pocketnavigation.de review highlights the Runtastic Moment as a clever hybrid device that seamlessly embeds fitness-tracking sensors into a traditional analog wristwatch design. The watch acts as an inconspicuous activity tracker, monitoring steps, distance, active minutes, calories burned, and sleep quality. All metrics sync wirelessly over Bluetooth to the Runtastic Me mobile app, which is compatible with Android and iOS platforms. To keep users informed throughout the day, the watch face features a secondary analog sub-dial that displays real-time progress toward personal daily step goals, accompanied by a built-in vibration alarm that signals when 50% or 100% of the target is met, or when it is time to move. The primary pros highlighted in the overview include its classic aesthetic that avoids looking like a standard fitness tracker, an impressive 6-month battery life powered by a standard replaceable lithium battery, and excellent water resistance up to a depth of 100 meters, making it suitable for swimming and diving. The device is also versatile, offering 10 models across four distinct collections—Fun (€129.99), Basic (€129.99), Elite (€199.99), and Classic (€199.99)—ranging from sporty...

The ComputerBase review highlights the Runtastic Moment Elite as a hybrid smartwatch designed more for everyday tracking than serious sports performance. A major pro of the device is its high-quality construction, featuring a durable single-piece stainless steel case, a scratch-resistant hardened mineral glass face, and an appealing military-inspired look with a mixed textile and leather strap. Additionally, it boasts exceptional water resistance up to 100 meters and a long-lasting CR2430 coin cell battery that provides six to seven months of power. The device conveniently packages a miniature screwdriver and spare screws, allowing users to handle battery changes themselves. However, the review details several prominent cons, specifically its massive 46mm diameter and substantial weight. Weighing 80 grams, the reviewer notes that it feels far too heavy and bulky on the wrist to comfortably wear during demanding workouts. From a technical standpoint, the hybrid approach omits a traditional display screen, meaning it lacks real-time, on-wrist notifications and detailed metrics. The review also calls out a massive error in Runtastic’s official marketing specifications, which incorrectly listed the device's weight as an absurdly heavy...
