What we like about XP Pen Deco Fun L

  • Affordable price point, offering high value for beginners and budget-conscious users
  • Large 10 x 6.27 inch active area providing ample space for sketching and illustration
  • Battery-free stylus with 8,192 levels of pressure sensitivity and 60° tilt support
  • Easy 'plug and play' setup with compatibility for Windows, macOS, Android, and Chrome OS
  • Available in four stylish colors: Classic Black, Ocean Blue, Apple Green, and Carmine Red
  • Lightweight and compact design despite the larger surface area, making it portable
  • Responsive performance with no noticeable lag and smooth pen strokes reported by users

What we don't like about XP Pen Deco Fun L

  • Lacks physical customizable shortcut buttons on the tablet itself
  • Plastic build quality is functional but feels less premium than higher-end models
  • The glossed top material is prone to showing fingerprints and visible scratches
  • Limited functionality on Android, where it is often forced into portrait mode
  • Potential software or driver conflicts if other tablet drivers are not fully uninstalled first
  • The stylus is reported by some users to feel a bit light or occasionally rattle during use

Verdict

The XP-Pen Deco Fun L is a budget-friendly graphics tablet featuring a generous 10 x 6.27-inch active area and a battery-free P01 stylus that supports 8,192 levels of pressure sensitivity and 60° of tilt. With a resolution of 5,080 LPI and a report rate of ≥220 RPS, it offers responsive performance for digital drawing, remote education, and rhythmic gaming like OSU!. Key pros include its plug-and-play USB-C connectivity, compatibility across Windows, macOS, Android, and Chrome OS, and a lightweight, portable design available in four vibrant colours. However, notable cons include a lack of physical shortcut keys on the tablet itself, a glossy top strip that is prone to scratches, and a drawing surface that may scuff or feel slightly scratchy under heavy use.
