What we like about HUION Inspiroy RTP 700

  • Generous active drawing area roughly the size of an A4 sheet, providing ample space for large strokes
  • Excellent responsiveness with a 300 PPS report rate, ensuring smooth cursor movement without noticeable lag
  • Portable and lightweight design at approximately 637g and 8.5mm thickness, making it easy to carry
  • Paper-like surface texture that mimics the feel of pen-on-paper and helps resist fingerprints
  • Battery-free PW400 pen offers stable pressure sensitivity (8192 levels) and comfortable grip
  • Convenient touch strip and six programmable touch keys that speed up workflows for zooming and brush resizing

What we don't like about HUION Inspiroy RTP 700

  • Touch keys lack tactile or light indicators, often requiring the user to look down at the tablet to ensure correct placement
  • Plastic build feels sturdy but lacks the premium metal finish found on high-end competitors
  • Surface smoothness may feel too slippery for some users when performing extremely sharp or precise detail work
  • The printed dot grid on the surface is visually distracting to some artists

Verdict

The Huion Inspiroy RTP-700 is a professional-level pen tablet featuring a large 11 x 6.875-inch active area within a slim 8.5mm chassis weighing just 637g. It utilizes the battery-free PW400 digital pen, which delivers 8,192 levels of pressure sensitivity, 5,080 LPI resolution, and ±60° tilt support for a natural drawing experience. Key advantages include a high report rate of over 300 PPS for lag-free input, a paper-like texture sheet that is anti-fingerprint, and six programmable touch keys alongside a touch strip for streamlined workflow efficiency. However, potential drawbacks include a lack of wireless or Bluetooth connectivity, and its large physical footprint may be less ideal for users with limited desk space compared to smaller models in the series.
