MORENTO Large Room PM2.5 Air Purifier Review | 45 Data compared

PCMag evaluates the budget-friendly MORENTO Smart Air Purifier HY4866-WF and praises its compact bilateral design engineered for large living spaces. The purifier incorporates two separate three-stage HEPA filters. The system pulls air from opposing flanks simultaneously while supporting hands-free voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Testers commended its clear front PM2.5 numeric display and responsive smartphone controls for under-bed or living room setups. However, the reviewer observed that operating at maximum fan speed produces loud acoustic decibels that can disturb quiet rooms. The environmental sensor tracks fine particulate matter exclusively without measuring volatile organic gases, and support for Apple HomeKit or Matter is omitted.

TechHive reviews the MORENTO HY4866-WF and commends its small physical footprint and punchy 176 CFM clean air delivery rate capable of servicing spaces up to 1,076 square feet. The dual-intake design utilizes two HEPA filters to maximize surface contact, while Wi-Fi connectivity allows quick integration with the companion app, Google Home, and Alexa. Testers praised the rapid initial pairing and solid particulate elimination during cooking trials. However, the highest fan velocity generates loud operational noise. The mobile application interface feels somewhat unpolished and basic, and sleep mode fails to dim all illuminated status icons on the console, which may disturb light-sensitive sleepers.

Dadfficient examines the Morento air purifier and identifies several notable hardware compromises alongside its rapid air circulation. The unit utilizes a dual-sided intake that draws ambient air from opposing flanks. This layout provides swift initial particle clearance. However, the evaluation reveals serious mechanical issues, chief among them are an uncomfortably loose power cord fitting and filter compartments lacking airtight gaskets. These missing perimeter seals allow fine particles to bypass the HEPA media under heavy suction. The tester also recorded an elevated 48-watt power draw during high-speed runs. With mandatory dual-filter replacements required every 2,000 hours, annual operational expenses reach nearly 112 dollars, substantially reducing the appeal of its budget retail price.

Live Science awards the Morento HY4866 four out of five stars. The publication celebrates its strong price-to-performance ratio across spacious interiors up to 1,076 square feet. The purifier features dual side-intake grilles that direct air through parallel filter cartridges, supported by four fan velocities and a responsive automated mode. Testers recorded impressive capture rates during particulate trials with household smoke and pollen. The testers noted swift sensor adjustments to changing room conditions. On the negative side, the machine lacks wireless connectivity, voice assistant compatibility, and app-based scheduling. The lightweight plastic casing also feels basic rather than premium, but its affordable retail price and dependable cleaning power make it a practical utility choice.

Reviewed tests the Morento HY4866 and characterizes it as an affordable air cleaner equipped with capable dual-sided filtration. The unit houses two True HEPA and activated carbon cartridges that proved remarkably proficient at clearing dense kitchen smoke and wildfire particles in controlled test chambers. Testers appreciated the sensitive particulate monitor and the serene sleep setting, which drops motor acoustics to a whisper for peaceful overnight use. However, the reviewer observed that running the fan at maximum speed generates harsh noise reaching 60 decibels. The exterior plastic casing feels relatively brittle and lacks premium finish, while official room coverage claims appear slightly overstated compared to standardized laboratory CADR outputs.

The Gadgeteer reviews the Morento HY4866 air purifier. The review commends its rapid particulate extraction during everyday domestic pollution scenarios. The purifier incorporates bilateral H13 True HEPA filters, four selectable fan speeds, a child-lock safety function, and an automated purification setting governed by an infrared sensor. Testers found the automatic mode very responsive when airborne kitchen smoke emerged. Testers praised the straightforward console interface and quiet lower operating speeds. Conversely, the tester noted noticeable acoustic drone on top settings that can interfere with quiet entertainment. The device also omits Wi-Fi hardware and smartphone connectivity. Users must change modes directly on the machine's top touch panel.

TechWalls reviews the MORENTO HY4866 and evaluates its credentials as a dual-intake air purifier for spacious living quarters up to 1,076 square feet. The design uses two separate H13 True HEPA filter assemblies that pull air inward from opposite sides. This doubles intake surface area for faster room processing. An integrated PM2.5 infrared detector displays current particle levels on a crisp front readout. This setup guides automatic fan speed transitions smoothly. Testers praised its rapid particulate capture and hassle-free touch controls. Nevertheless, the reviewer noted that the device does not come with a handheld remote control. Users must interact directly with the top-mounted interface, and replacing two filter elements every six months increases overall operational costs.

Homes & Gardens tests the Morento air purifier and identifies it as an attractive, high-performing choice for spacious family living areas. The machine leverages dual air filtration cartridges. The machine delivers swift smoke clearance and maintaining impressively quiet background hum on lower fan settings. Reviewers highlighted the real-time PM2.5 ambient indicator ring and numerical readouts, which change color instantly whenever cooking odors or pet hair enter the room. However, the appliance does not include a handheld remote control. Owners must adjust settings via the console. The tester also observed that the stiff black power cable proves difficult to tuck away discreetly along baseboards, and periodic dual-filter replacements add ongoing upkeep costs.
