Third-party reviews

What we like about LG RHX5010TLB

  • Wi-Fi and the ThinQ app let you control the dryer remotely.
  • It works with voice assistants for hands-free commands.
  • Humidity sensors judge when the load is dry.
  • An AI setting adapts the drying cycle to the fabric.
  • An ECO function lets you choose between saving energy and saving time.
  • The condenser cleans itself with a water spray.

What we don't like about LG RHX5010TLB

  • At 65 kg it is hard to move on your own.
  • At 66 cm wide it needs a generous space in the laundry corner.
  • Remote control needs the ThinQ app and a steady Wi-Fi connection.
  • Its weight makes it awkward to pull out for cleaning behind it.

Verdict

Smart features are the main draw of the LG RHX5010TLB, a 9 kg heat pump dryer. Wi-Fi and the ThinQ app let you start, stop and check the cycle from another room, and it works with voice assistants too. Humidity sensors end the cycle when the clothes are dry, so you do not have to guess the time. An AI setting adjusts the drying to the fabric, and the ECO function trades speed for energy savings when you want. The condenser cleans itself, which saves a little work between loads. The trade-off is weight and width. At 65 kg and 66 cm wide, it is hard to move and needs a fair amount of room. It suits a buyer who wants a connected dryer that runs itself and does not mind a heavy machine.
