Verdict

The Ewbank STEAMDYNAMO+ is a 2000W multi-tool canister steam cleaner featuring a 1.5-litre stainless steel water tank, a 1.7-metre double-insulated hose, and an 80g/min steam output operating at 3.4 bar (54 psi) of pressure. A primary asset is its versatile, chemical-free sanitisation that eliminates 99.99% of bacteria over a 35-to-45-minute continuous run time, supported by on-board storage and highly specialized accessories like a wallpaper steamer and a stainless steel BBQ brush. However, notable drawbacks include a relatively long 12-minute heat-up time, an occasionally frustrating delay while it pauses mid-use to rebuild steam pressure, a short 2.4-metre power cord, and plastic extension tubes that some users find prone to bending under pressure.

What customers like about Ewbank SteamDynamo+?

  • Effective at cutting through heavy grease, grime, and soap scum on tiles, grout, oven shelves, and taps
  • Generous 1.5-liter water tank capacity provides up to 45 minutes of continuous steam time
  • Excellent selection of versatile, easy-to-swap multi-purpose attachments including a specialized BBQ brush and wallpaper steamer
  • On-board storage compartment keeps smaller accessories organized and easily accessible
  • Mobility is highly convenient thanks to its lightweight cylinder design and smooth-rolling wheels
  • Cleans and sanitizes efficiently using only water, eliminating the need for harsh chemicals

What customers dislike about Ewbank SteamDynamo+?

  • The 8-foot power cord is relatively short and lacks an integrated storage wrap or automatic retraction mechanism
  • The handle and trigger feature uncomfortable ridges that can cause hand pain during prolonged use without gloves
  • Pressure can drop significantly after a few minutes of continuous use, requiring brief pauses to wait for it to reheat
  • Frequently ejects water droplets instead of pure steam when first starting up or after sitting idle
  • Included microfiber floor cloth is on the smaller side and can feel flimsy to some users
  • Only loosens dirt and grime from surfaces, requiring a separate cloth or towel to wipe the residue away afterwards
