Samsung Level On Wireless Review | 93 Data compared

The Samsung Level On Wireless is a highly functional, lightweight (236g) Bluetooth on-ear headphone option designed for travel and daily commutes. Key advantages include its innovative touch-sensitive ear cup control that accurately responds to swipes for volume adjustments and track skipping, alongside remarkably low wireless latency that allows lag-free video streaming. It features solid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) that successfully dampens ambient traffic and typing noises, a collapsible plastic frame that is sturdy yet highly flexible, and an impressive battery life offering up to 19 hours over Bluetooth, or 10 hours with ANC activated.

The Samsung Level On Wireless is a Bluetooth-enabled headphone that offers balanced, clear sound with balanced bass, mids, and highs suitable for most music styles. Its active noise cancellation (ANC) functions effectively, particularly against low-frequency sounds like traffic or airplane cabin noise. Additional perks include comfortable synthetic leather padding, a foldable design for travel, intuitive touch controls on the right ear cup, and seamless Bluetooth functionality with non-Samsung devices. The battery lasts approximately 11 hours with ANC enabled and up to 23 hours without it. However, the headphones suffer from structural and design shortcomings. The plastic build feels unstable, and the ear cups rattle in their joints, making the overall material quality feel subpar for its €250 price tag. Additionally, the bulky ear cups protrude about 5 centimeters from the user's head, and the clamping force can cause uncomfortable pressure on the ears after one to two hours of use. Bass lovers might find the sound profile too neutral. Finally, when the battery drains and the headphone is used via its audio cable, the touch-control surface becomes entirely non-functional.

The Samsung Level On Wireless headphones offer a strong mix of high-utility features, great comfort, and engaging sound quality according to the Netzwelt review. A major standout attribute is the exceptional comfort; the ultra-soft plastic-foam padding on the headband and ear cups ensures a fatigue-free fit that sits perfectly even during hours of continuous wear. In terms of performance, the 40mm dual-voice coil drivers deliver great sound spatiality and precise instrument placement, while integrated aptX support guarantees higher-quality wireless audio transmission over Bluetooth. Additionally, user convenience is elevated by intuitive touch-gesture controls built directly onto the side of the ear cup housing for easy track skipping, volume adjustments, and phone call management. However, the headphones do come with clear compromises. The active noise cancellation (ANC) functionality effectively filters uniform low frequencies like aircraft engine noise, but it struggles to eliminate dynamic environment sounds such as nearby conversations, keyboard typing, or passing traffic. It also introduces a noticeable baseline background hiss when music is paused. Audiophiles looking for a flat, neutral sound profile will likely be disappointed, as the headphone tuning...

The Computer Bild review rates the Samsung Level On Wireless as versatile on-ear headphones, highlighting effective active noise cancellation (ANC), a lightweight design, and intuitive touch controls. Priced around €200, the headphones offer convenient Bluetooth connectivity alongside a 3.5mm wired option, complemented by EQ customization via the Samsung Level app. However, the analysis notes that the sound quality, while acceptable, lacks depth and presents a narrow soundstage that may disappoint audiophiles. Additionally, the review points to potential comfort issues over long periods due to ear pressure and describes the plastic construction as feeling somewhat fragile.
