Third-party reviews

What we like about Haier XDD66E5LS

  • Independent double drawer design allows running two separate cycles simultaneously or using just one drawer for small loads to save energy.
  • Ergonomic layout reduces bending down compared to traditional full-height drop-down door dishwashers.
  • Convenient 'Knock to Pause' feature lets you stop the wash cycle without opening the drawer.
  • Flexible loading with adjustable internal spaces and foldable plate racks.
  • Quiet operational noise level measured at 45 dB.
  • Good cleaning results on rapid cycles, such as the 59-minute program.

What we don't like about Haier XDD66E5LS

  • Higher upfront cost compared to traditional, standard full-height built-in dishwashers.
  • Takes time to adapt to the drawer mechanism, hidden display panel, and lack of a traditional drop-down door.
  • Initial confusion regarding detergent compatibility, as traditional tablets may not fit or dissolve properly in the standard compartment, occasionally requiring placement in the cutlery basket.
  • Lower energy efficiency rating (Class E), which may not satisfy users prioritizing the highest energy conservation standards.

Verdict

The Haier XDD66E5LS is a 60cm fully integrated double drawer dishwasher featuring a 12-place setting capacity (divided as 6+6 per drawer) and a Direct Motion motor operating at a quiet 45 dB noise level. Its primary advantages include independent dual-wash cycles that permit running different programs simultaneously, a convenient "Knock to Pause" feature, and flexible loading via foldable racks, all packaged in a panel-ready design that seamlessly blends into kitchen cabinetry. However, it carries a lower Class E energy efficiency rating, lacks modern Wi-Fi connectivity or smart app integration, and operates with a lengthy 4-hour and 3-minute standard cycle duration.
