Verdict

The Polti Vaporetto Smart 40_Mop is a cylinder steam cleaner featuring a high-pressure stainless steel boiler that delivers up to 3.5 bar of pressure and an adjustable steam output reaching 85 g/min. Powered by an 1800W motor, the unit includes a 1.6-litre water capacity, provides up to 65 minutes of operation, and features a flexible, polygonal Vaporforce brush with a 55% larger cleaning surface. Key pros include chemical-free sanitisation that kills 99.99% of germs and bacteria, British Allergy Foundation approval for dust mite elimination, and a 10-piece integrated accessory storage system for high versatility across multiple surfaces. However, notable cons include a relatively slow 8-minute heat-up time and a design that lacks a continuous-fill system, meaning users must wait for the pressurized safety cap to cool down before refilling.
