Third-party reviews

What we like about LG F4NA10S8NWK

  • An 8 kg drum takes everyday loads for three or four people.
  • 47 kWh per 100 cycles keeps power use modest.
  • 48 L of water per cycle is modest for a machine this size.
  • Six spin speeds let you match the spin to each fabric.
  • The load balancing system keeps the drum steady when the load is uneven.
  • Pause and add lets you drop in a forgotten sock mid-cycle.

What we don't like about LG F4NA10S8NWK

  • Eight washing programs is a short list for a family.
  • There is no extra rinse function.
  • There is no foam control or laundry detection system.
  • The motor warranty is only two years.
  • Spin noise of 74 dB is too loud behind a bedroom wall.

Verdict

An 8 kg drum is the first thing to know about the LG F4NA10S8NWK, a front-loader for a household of three or four that does laundry most days. Sheets and towels fit in one go. It is modest on water and power, using 48 L per cycle and 47 kWh per 100 cycles. The six spin speeds are its strongest point, so you can pick a gentle spin for shirts or a fast one for towels. Steam and a load balancing system are also fitted. The trade-off is the shorter list of programs: only eight washing programs, no extra rinse, no foam control and no laundry detection. The motor warranty is two years. It suits a family that wants an economical everyday machine and does not need many special cycles.
