What we like about Hoover Link HLV10DG

  • A 10 kg capacity handles a big family load in one go.
  • At 30 kg it is light for a dryer this size.
  • Front loading makes it easy to fill and empty.
  • Vented drying is a simple design.
  • At 85 cm high and 60 cm deep it has the footprint of a standard washing machine.

What we don't like about Hoover Link HLV10DG

  • The 60 cm width needs a full-width slot.
  • Vented drying needs a hose to a window or wall outlet.
  • Front loading means you need floor space in front to open the door.
  • The 10 kg drum is heavy to load for someone with limited reach.

Verdict

Ten kilograms in one load is the main reason to consider the Hoover Link HLV10DG, a vented dryer for a family that does a lot of washing. Vented means the hot air leaves through a hose, so the machine needs a window or a wall outlet close by. The trade-off is width. At 60 cm it needs a full-width slot, and a narrow cupboard is too small for it, so measure before you buy. It stands 85 cm high and 60 cm deep, the same footprint as a standard washing machine, so it can sit beside one in a utility room. It suits a buyer with a fixed spot near a window or wall outlet who wants a big load at a modest weight and does not mind the hose.
