What we like about BLACK+DECKER BCED26

What we don't like about BLACK+DECKER BCED26

Verdict

Slim and light, the BLACK+DECKER BCED26 is a budget vented dryer for one person or a couple with light laundry. At 43.4 cm wide and 22 kg it is easy to move, and the door can open on either side. A transparent door lets you watch the clothes, and the dryer starts as soon as the door closes. The ECO function and temperature selection give some control over the cycle. The trade-off is capacity. At 4 kg with a 75 L drum it holds only a small load, and there are five programs. The controls also sit low, so you have to bend to reach them. The vent hose and connector must be bought separately. It suits a buyer who dries small, regular loads and has a window to vent through.
