Verdict

The WORX WX770.9 SteamStorm is a 20V cordless handheld steam cleaner that delivers 260 watts of power and generates chemical-free steam at 220°F (105°C) to eliminate 99.9% of germs. Main characteristics include an ultra-fast 8-second preheat time, a lightweight bare-tool design weighing just 1.3 lbs (2.8 lbs with a 4.0Ah battery), and a 4.1 fl. oz. (120 ml) water tank that does not require depressurizing to refill. Key advantages include its extreme portability, safe continuous one-touch operation without a held trigger, compatibility with the Worx PowerShare battery platform, and an included 5-piece multi-surface accessory kit. However, notable drawbacks include a relatively short runtime of approximately 8 minutes with a 2.0Ah battery or 16 minutes with a 4.0Ah battery, a small water tank capacity that demands frequent refills during large tasks, and the fact that the .9 designation indicates it is sold as a bare tool without a battery or charger included.
