Verdict

The Hoover Steam Capsule CAP1700D 011 is an upright steam mop featuring a 1700-watt motor, a 0.7-liter removable water tank, and a 7-meter power cable that provides a generous action radius. Key pros include its chemical-free sanitization that eliminates up to 99.9% of bacteria, a swift 30-second heat-up time, up to 25 minutes of continuous steam autonomy, and a versatile 2-in-1 double nozzle comprising a large rectangular head for wide surfaces alongside a triangular scrubbing head with bristles for deep corner cleaning. However, notable cons include its 3 kg weight which can feel heavy during prolonged cleaning sessions, the absence of a detachable handheld unit for vertical surfaces, and a design requiring constant trigger pressure that can cause hand fatigue.
