Third-party reviews

What we like about Salter EK4368

  • Integrated grinder delivers fresh, hot, and flavorful coffee quickly
  • Easy to operate and simple to set up
  • Offers great value for money, making it an excellent budget-friendly choice
  • Convenient 24-hour programmable timer, keep-warm plate, and auto shut-off features
  • Eco-friendly and cost-effective reusable mesh filter

What we don't like about Salter EK4368

  • Small 750ml carafe capacity only makes about 2 large mugs at a time
  • The integrated coffee bean grinder runs quite loudly
  • Emptying and cleaning wet coffee grounds out of the filter can be awkward
  • Lacks an audible alert or buzzer to signal when the brewing cycle completes
  • Occasional extraction issues where coffee tastes weaker unless extra water is used

Verdict

The Salter EK4368 Caffé Bean to Jug is a 550 to 650 W drip coffee maker with a 750 ml glass carafe for two large cups at a time. Its integrated stainless-steel blade grinder processes fresh beans in about 30 seconds, and it also has a digital control panel with a 24-hour timer, adjustable strength, a reusable mesh filter, keep-warm, anti-drip and automatic safety shut-off functions. Freshly ground coffee and the washable filter are convenient, but the small capacity, occasional difficulty removing grounds and relatively light-feeling construction may limit its appeal.
