What we like about Philips All-in-One Brew HD7900

  • The 450 g bean container means fewer refills.
  • The removable water tank makes filling easy at the sink.
  • Automatic cleaning takes some of the upkeep off your hands.
  • A cleaning reminder tells you when the machine needs attention.
  • Dishwasher-safe parts make washing up quicker.
  • A timer lets you start the brew ahead of time.

What we don't like about Philips All-in-One Brew HD7900

  • At 5.95 kg it is heavy, so it stays where you put it.
  • At 43.4 cm tall and 27.7 cm wide, it needs a wide spot on the counter.
  • A brew takes 11 min, which is a little slow for a quick morning.
  • There is no mobile app, so the brew cannot be started from a phone.
  • There is no water filtration system, so tap water goes straight into the brew.

Verdict

A 450 g bean container is the first thing to like about the Philips All-in-One Brew HD7900. The machine grinds the beans and brews in one go, so you do not need a separate grinder. The removable water tank makes filling easy, and automatic cleaning with a cleaning reminder takes some of the upkeep off your hands. The timer and aroma control handle the rest, and some parts go in the dishwasher. The 1000 W heater gets the water hot, and the display shows the settings. The trade-off is weight and size: at 5.95 kg and 43.4 cm tall, it stays where you put it, and a brew takes 11 min. It suits a coffee lover who wants fresh beans and as little cleaning as possible.
