Verdict

Miele WTD 163 WCS uses a durable ProfiEco inverter motor that ensures low noise during spinning at just 71 dB and supports a maximum spin speed of 1500 RPM. It keeps energy and water consumption surprisingly low, at just 47 kWh and 47 liters per wash, making it one of the most efficient models available. With smart connectivity via Wi-Fi and app controls, 19 integrated functions and 10 drying programs, it easily adapts to different laundry needs. The honeycomb basket protects fabrics, while the CapDosing system simplifies the use of detergent for special items. Some limitations include an 8kg washing and 5kg drying capacity, no steam or prewash function and only 11 wash programmes. The 2-year warranty on the motor is lower than the industry average and it lacks extras such as refresh cycles or AI features. Despite the high build quality, the overall value for money could be better.
