Verdict

The Willow W10TDW takes ten kilos of washing in a cabinet only 59.5 cm wide, which makes it a good pick for a family with bigger weekly washes. Warm air leaves through a hose, and at 35 kg it is light for a 10 kg machine. At 65 dB it is clearly audible in the next room, so daytime runs suit it better. It has eight programs and an interior light, which covers the everyday basics. The bigger drawback is energy use: 680 kWh a year is high for a dryer with a C rating. The trade-off is the lack of child lock, which matters if little hands are near the buttons. It suits a family that does big loads and wants a plain dryer without many extras.
