Third-party reviews

What we like about Nilson NSB800E

  • Heat pump drying is the more modern way to dry clothes.
  • An 8 kg drum takes a full load.
  • A laundry detection system stops when the clothes are dry.
  • Twelve programs cover delicate fabrics and thick cotton.
  • The transparent door lets you check the drum.
  • At 45 kg it can be moved by one person.

What we don't like about Nilson NSB800E

  • At 68 dB it is loud enough to hear from the next room.
  • It is energy class E, which is weaker than the top classes.
  • No drying rack is included.
  • At 62.5 cm deep it needs a fair amount of floor space.
  • The door hinges on the left, so it may not suit every layout.

Verdict

Simple and budget-friendly, the Nilson NSB800E pairs a heat pump with an 8 kg front-loading drum for a family that wants a standard machine. A laundry detection system senses when the load is dry, so the cycle does not run on longer than it has to. Twelve programs cover delicate fabrics through to thick cotton, and the transparent door makes it easy to check the drum. The trade-off is noise. At 68 dB it is loud enough to hear from the next room, so a utility room or kitchen suits it better than a bedroom. At 45 kg one person can move it with care. It is a good fit for a household that wants a plain, dependable dryer and can live with a bit of noise.
