Third-party reviews

What we like about Hoover Pro Dry HBR 10N2X-80

  • Sixteen programs cover a wide range of fabrics and cycles.
  • A 10 kg capacity takes big loads in one go.
  • At 62 dB it is quiet enough for a flat.
  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth let you connect it to a phone.
  • A gentle drying option treats delicate items more softly.
  • A delayed start can be set up to 24 h ahead.

What we don't like about Hoover Pro Dry HBR 10N2X-80

  • The 111 L drum is on the small side for a 10 kg load.
  • A full load takes 2.18 kWh per cycle, which adds up on heavy days.
  • At 45 kg it is hard to move around on your own.
  • At 62 dB it is still audible in a bedroom at night.

Verdict

Sixteen programs and a 10 kg capacity stand out on the Hoover Pro Dry HBR 10N2X-80. It is a heat pump for a household with a busy wash day. At 62 dB it is quiet enough for a flat, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth come built in. It uses 137 kWh a year and carries an A++ rating. The gentle drying option, the memory function and the 24 h delayed start make day-to-day use simpler. The trade-off is the drum, at 111 L, which is on the small side for a 10 kg machine, so big duvets may be a squeeze. It suits a buyer who runs the dryer most days, likes to control it from a phone and wants a quiet machine with many programs for everyday loads.
