Drum size is the main reason to look at the Bauknecht TK EVO 84A++, an 8 kg heat pump dryer. The drum turns both ways, which keeps the load moving. The A++ rating and 235.5 kWh a year keep energy use in check for a family that dries often. Humidity sensors stop the cycle when the load is dry, and the 14 programs cover most fabrics. Delayed start and child lock are handy in a busy house. The trade-off is noise and two missing extras. At 69 dB it is loud enough to notice in a quiet kitchen, and there is no light inside the drum. It suits a family that dries large loads and does not mind the noise from the next room.
