What we like about Whirlpool TDLR 72223SSFR

  • The 7 kg capacity handles a full family load.
  • The 216000 cm³ drum is roomy for a 40 cm wide machine.
  • The inverter motor helps the drum run efficiently.
  • Energy saving mode is an uncommon extra.
  • The 205 min ECO cycle gives a slow, careful wash.
  • The anti-crease function cuts down on creasing.

What we don't like about Whirlpool TDLR 72223SSFR

  • Energy use is 78 kWh per 100 cycles, and the class is E.
  • Spin noise reaches 78 dB, which is loud in a home.
  • There is no cold wash option.
  • There is no overflow protection.
  • At 57 kg and 90 cm tall, it is hard to move.

Verdict

The Whirlpool TDLR 72223SSFR is a top-loading washing machine in energy class E with disappointing energy performance, consuming 78 kWh per 100 cycles. Water consumption is positive at 45 litres per cycle, and its narrow width of just 40 cm makes it suitable for tight spaces. The inverter motor is equipped with basic features such as foam control, a Colours cycle, and an energy-saving mode. The Drum Up function automatically positions the drum for easy access. However, there are significant issues: it has only 13 programs and 5 washing temperatures, the drum is small (42 litres), spin noise is high (78 dB), and it lacks overflow protection. The motor warranty is just 2 years. This washing machine is not recommended, as its basic features do not justify the high energy consumption and numerous limitations.
