Verdict

The Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro 42mm is a premium smartwatch featuring a luxury nanocrystal ceramic body and a 1.32-inch AMOLED display (466 x 466 resolution, 352 PPI) protected by scratch-resistant sapphire glass. It is powered by the TruSense system for advanced health monitoring, including medical-grade ECG analysis, arterial stiffness detection, and 24/7 tracking of heart rate, SpO2, and skin temperature. Its robust sports suite supports over 100 modes, notably professional-grade golf with 3D course maps and free diving up to 40 meters, backed by an IP69K and 5 ATM durability rating. Key advantages include an impressive 7-day maximum battery life (roughly 5 days with regular use), ultra-accurate Sunflower dual-band GPS, and full compatibility with both Android and iOS. However, notable drawbacks include the lack of NFC contactless payments in most Western regions, a relatively limited third-party app ecosystem compared to competitors, and reduced battery longevity when the Always-On Display (AOD) is active.
